I got involved in a competition and ended up pushing myself too hard for that day.
Competing isn't always worth the price on your health.

Sooooo, I would recommend that you not continue in this behavior. Believe me, things that you overdo when young can come back later in your life to make things pretty miserable!!

I too tend to over do, and I know when I should stop. But there is always something else crop up. My hubby on the other hand just forgets about it and drives me up the wall.

I too learned this hard lesson the tough way.  As a child gymnast I in turn became a gymnastics coach.  It's a natural progression for many in the sport.  In a game of follow the leader I decided to dismount the beam.  I hyper-extended my knee.  Had to have water drained off of it and realized than... keeping up and pushing myself just isn't worth the effects it had on me regarding all other aspects of my adult life.  Boy am I glad I took the hint back than.
