So - what are you giving up or taking on for Lent??

I don't practice "giving up something" for Lent as part of my religion, but I have in past years followed this practice on my own.

The first year I did this, I gave up Diet Coke. 

It was a very interesting time and really caused me to stop and appreciate Christ and His sacrifices for me.
Every time I wanted or craved that Diet Coke, I thought of how small my "sacrifice" was.....I mean, really,
I wanted to drink a soda!.....in relation to what Christ did for me.

It was a very worthwhile time.

I usually just give up the meat (except fish) on Fridays, or a very nice sweet, this year I have not decided it yet what else to give up besides the meat, but I will think of something and soon

I remember this as a kid in Catholic school.Haven't been to church in years.I can't think of anything i'd give up ok maybe eating shinach ok done.
