Have you ever..
« on: February 21, 2014, 07:37:30 am »
Have you ever had something on your mind.. And go to tells someone about it weather it be a therapist a friend a stranger or even a blog.. Or just to write it down or make a post and then as soon as you do.. Completly forget what it is you were gonna say...

-_- I find these moments very disturbing because i never remember what i actually was gonna say in the end. A fail of the brain :D

Yep - I have that happen to me on occasion.  I always say the idea jumped out of my head, and ran across the room and out the door.  If I can't recall my train of thought and reel it back, then I just write it off that it wasn't that important anyway.

Many times it'll end up coming back to me later in the day.  I find that tends to happen more when I get myself side tracked on several different topics.  I tend to be very divergent in my way of thinking, so sometimes when I get "off track", things like that happen.

I am very absent-minded as well as forgetful.  I guess I have age-related forgetfulness as well as problems with having had head trauma in the past.  It has gotten to the point that my husband has to insert words I can't think of when I am talking to someone.  I hate not being able to think of what I am trying to say in the middle of a conversation.

Sorry to say - happens to the best of us.  I attribute it to having way too much on the mind!!!!

A lot of people can relate.
they're starting to make commercials about inventions that should have been here long ago but were forgotten.
snickers just made a bite size commercial where the founder forgot he had the idea.

I think that type of thing happens to everyone from time to time.  Normally it is something terribly important though or we wouldn't have forgotten.  I don't give it that much thought.

I've had that happen plenty of times. What's really aggravating is when the thought comes back and no one is around for you to tell it to. :P

It always seems to come back to you in the middle of the night. That is also when the snappy comebacks come to you too.  When it is to late or n one is around that you can wake up!   LOL

I do see to find myself blanking out often even if I jot something down as I'm rushing my note taking while multitasking. If I'm doing this digitally sometimes I forget to save. I think sometimes I was more proficient when I used recording as my method with a dedicated sound recorder.

Oh my gosh yes all the time and if I get interrupted after I begin to say something it seems to just make my mind go blank on what I was saying. :confused1:

Oh yeah, it's frustrating for me. It's starting to happen more and more too. So now I try to write it down as soon as possible before I forget it.
