I personally don't think it should be a holiday.  There have been a lot of people in our American history that have done a lot for humanity that don't have a holiday.  Just my opinion and I know a lot of parents agree because when the schools are closed they have to find something to do with their kids who aren't big enough to stay on their own.

Not really it's a good day to remember but I wouldn't have it for a holiday.

Do you think we should have a Martin Luther King Holiday?
What a stink there would be if it was cancelled. I think we should honor MLK. Everyone sure does enjoy the time off and it has become a tradition for some to give back to the community with service. That is a good thing! Those reasons are both the best I can think of to continue having the Holiday!

I am thankful to Dr. King that we have this holiday.  My grandson did not have to go to school today, but he will be up to go to school tomorrow.  The man was a pioneer and, if it were not for him, Blacks and Whites would not get along as well as they have.  I feel just as honored that I have the right to vote; it is important these days.   :rainbow:
