I love my local farmers market everything is better for you because they don't use pest acids. I try to go when ever they have them even though it can be expensive but it worth it.

We have a farmers market here in the summer. And i am so lucky because my sister-in-law has 2 great big green houses where she grows tomatoes and cucumbers. She also grows okra and squash out side. I get most of my produce free and now i have all kins of relishes, salsa, tomatoes put up for winter. But i also grow a couple of tomatoe plants and a couple of jalanpano  plants at the house. and then i also grow japanise cucumbers that we eat all the time. They don't can right but boy they are sure good. We also have a distribution center here where trucks meet and trade vegs. to be taken to other cities and what is left we get to buy real cheap instead of going to our local grocery store. Avacados are my favorite. We get them for 60 cents and they were large. I froze alot of them for winter. Hum Hum good.

I miss my WA Farmer's Markets!  We had the BEST there!  We're in Texas now and there is NOTHING fresh and organic here.  The only place that sells Organics is Sprouts, but it's a 30 minute drive and pretty spendy. Boo.

I just love the farmers markets in our town. I like to be able to support the local growers and people that take time to do a bit of handiwork. Recently I bought the most adorable little bird house that was made buy a man in the town that doesn't have any other form of income. He was an older man and I felt really good buying this from him. I've also got my eye on another guy who hand makes picture frames from real branches. The frames are not sanded down or varnished in any way, they're just left branch-like and rustic! Love it!

I can't afford organics...but haven't really wanted to.  I'm fine with regular produce.  I do try and eat healthy though...or atleast healthier.  Have a great evening.
