Employer Christmas luncheon

Is your employer having  a christmas luncheon or party?

My husband is out with his shift right now....at a wings place, of all Christmas things!

When I used to work for a law firm in Edwardsville, IL, we had the fanciest Christmas feasts imaginable.   

At the university I worked, they had a Christmas reception that was pretty upscale.

But the best ones were at Anheuser-Busch a few years ago. They had the best food, ice-cold AB beverages and pool tables carved out of ice that people actually used to play pool on! It was beautiful. 

Haven't been to a Christmas party thrown by an employer for quite a few years now. I can't say I miss them all
that much, except it was fun to dress up and be fancy for a while. One doesn't get too many opportunities for that sort of thing.

My employer always has a little holiday lunch for everyone. I think it is great to spend a little bit of time with all my co workers during this time of year.

We are having a Christmas party this Thursday evening.  It is always a good time.

My employer doesn't do crap for us.  We'll be lucky if we get a plate of stale cookies.

We have one every year, but I have never gone to them; not a party person.

No, we've never had a Christmas luncheon, dinner or party here where I work now.  We'd have a luncheon where I use to work.  Everyone dreaded it except the owners.  They took pride in chauffeuring us in their lexus to their country club for lunch.  They liked to show off their "little people" to their rich cronies.  That was the only time of the year they associated with the underlings.

There is a calendar up in the back near the time clock.  I saw something about a Christmas party.  But it will only be for the ones who are working at the time of the party and for the ones who are on break during the time of the party.  People are pigs and after the ones who are there when any food is brought back  leave the break area there will be nothing left for anybody else.

Well, I would think most companies would have some sort of celebration.  Mine, of course does not.

The retail store i worked for we had 3 pot lucks a year and all employees came and we had a ball, even though most of us had to work on that day, the boss would let go back  off and on during the day to graze a little, and we always made sure there was planty there. Sometimes the store would order Pizza for us all day. They treated us pretty good.
