Pray for me ~ Trying to Quit Smoking

Please pray for me.  I am trying to quit the nasty, nasty habit of smoking cigarettes.  I have smoked on and off (mostly on) for 36 years.  I believe it would be much easier if I could get rid of some of the major things in my life causing my stress and the desire to smoke.  But, I've had my husband too long now and my creditors would like for me to keep my job.  So, please pray for me!

I quit smoking for good (FINALLY) in 2007. It was not easy, I tried dozens of times before it finally stuck. Good luck to you, I know it is hard, but you'll just need to figure out new ways to deal with the triggers/habits and stresses that cause you to light up.

I know how your feeling I've smoked for about as long can cut it down to 10 cigs a day mostly.Also try the ecig have one but lost it many are quiting using that or cutting way back. You could also try the patches the gum doesn't work. good luck one thing also I've known a couple people who smoked until their seventies and weren't bad off at all,i realize i'm the drug addict in denial .my aunt smoked and died at 83.

I dont smoke. But my dad did. He said, the only one we must do to quit smoking is: stop, just stop at all.

You can do it!  Something I learned in helping my daughter through addiction - when you feel as though you need it... keep your mind and hands busy doing something else.  I had a history teacher in high school that reached for candy - he became a regular hallway patrol man that created a diversion to him but also some connection with us kids that was outside his class room.  He did this to avoid trips to the teachers lounge or boiler room - for a couple of weeks he was red in the face, sweating and reaching for that candy.  - us students were rooting him on though and you could see his perseverance to quit in his eyes.  I hope you have a strong support system to help you through the withdrawals - Hey Fusion Cash forums are a good diversion.
