Birthdays near holidays
« on: October 30, 2013, 12:47:46 pm »
I have been wondering for a long time.. and it's not just birthday but how in the world do we manage to do everything we do with birthdays so  close to holidays? In our family.. It Starts at August.. then there is one in september, 2 in october 1 in november and 1 in december.. Then you also have to do things for christmas thanksgiving and  halloween of course..
That's not counting the other birthdays.. Another starts in april.. then you got mothers day.. so she gets a birthday then a mother's day.. Followed by another birthday in May.. Then we have a friends birthday in july.. which is the day right before july 4th.. then you have to save money for both..
How we do what we do every year is beyond me because we are not even rich or have boocooos of money.. but we sure can spend it all ;D Tahahaha.. What about you? Do you struggle with this? Or am i alone here? XD

I have the same problem as you. I have 2 sons whom have birthdays in December as well as an anniversary. It seems like they pop around a lot faster every year. Then there is the rest of the family that has birthdays about 1 a month. It is like a viscous cycle sometimes. But I guess it could be worse. I am still able to celebrate with each and everyone of them without being completely broke! HA!HA! :peace:

My birthday is November 29 and I still seem to get shorted when it comes to presents. I tend to get a big present for one and something small for the other. I do have friends that have birthdays December 24-26 and get just as many birthday and Christmas presents if their birthdays were other parts of the year

My twins were born during the same week as Christmas. They don't get as much on their birthdays as the rest of my kids. I'm going to talk to them this year to see how this makes them feel.

My grandson was born on Christmas day. I always buy him a separate birthday gift and wrap it in birthday paper. I also make sure to give him that as soon as they get to our place. We sing happy birthday to him while he opens it. Then we eat dinner and open Christmas gifts. I try to keep it apart from the Christmas gift opening so he gets to feel special and open his gift while the others look on. Just like everyone else on their birthday.
