can learn from their children.
There are things that we, as children of the previous generation, are becoming aware of.
The truth has been hidden from our parents; thay have been lied to about a number of things.
...for so long that, when their children tell them the truth, they are hesitant to believe.

True. There are many things I never told my parents that I did as  a teen. Only now that I have my own teenager am I telling my mom some of it. But I do have a pretty open relationship with the teenager and also the 11 year old.

There were many things that I and my siblings did not tell our parents when we were children as well. We even had a saying, "to our graves". Can you believe it? But as we grew up, we realized the importance of having and open and honest relationship with our parents and most of these "things" were brought to their attention.  :angel11:

I learn stuff from my niece and nephew all the time.  A couple weeks ago I picked my niece up from school and she was crying saying a teacher who heard he say something told her 'you think you know everything but you don't know nothing' and she also told another kid to 'shut up'.  Turns out my niece was correct in what she was saying.

there are alot of things that i didnt tell my parents especially since we didnt get along the best.  i think that its crazy how you dont realize how much your parents go through until you become one and then you realize just how difficult it is to be a parent and you start to realize your parents werent as horrible as you once thought they were they were just trying to make through the day like you are now.

The heck you say! I started painting at 52, started using a computer at 54.

Age doesn't have anything to do with learning, it's having the want-to that matters!
