yeah, I haven't had much luck with surveys either...even though I'm signed up for multiple sites. I just hate the ones like Toluna where you get points.

I do the radio sometimes I don't listen to it I'll have my speakers turned off and lately I have been trying the F/C surveys the smaller amount ones like the 0.75. I also do a couple other things online to make money.

I'm seeing so many posts on "making money at home"lately here on FC
 I have looked into these before and found them to be such scams... I know it's nice to make money at home, but I guess the good old traditional way has worked better for me!

It can be frustrating.  If you lower your expectations, you will be surprised how quickly the pennies add up.  As soon as I realized I wasn't going to break any bank with what I make, it was more fun and more rewarding.

If you are a student, or are looking for a a quick job with no long-term commitment, you may have time to make candles to sell! I do this in the winter time for several reasons, a few top ones being it heats my home nice and toasty when I make candles and tarts, and when I'm making candle orders for other people, it super-scents my home for free! It is very easy to get started, and super easy to learn to do. I got started with an old fondu pot in my kitchen!

Really the only way to make semi-decent money is thru LOTS of active referrals. FC is good for pocket change, so I wouldn't expect more than that.

Actually, FC is good for more than pocket change. You can take that money and use it to jump start more lucrative opportunities, where you can make a lot more money.

FUSION CASH !!! Or research studies i once got 250 dollars to go to a place try cereal wait four hours and rate hot hungry it made me, little things like that helped me out a lot babysitting and dogs sitting too extra quick money not too hard no taxes taken out =)

Are you really serious? You should always always always be honest when taking the surveys, not give false info. Not cool.

Do this site and only the stuff that you think is time worthy. For myself, I like posting and doing the daily email and paid to click.

The other time I would spend developing a skill that you love and trying to make money off that. Maybe you're very knowledgeable about certain things, you can use that to sell stuff online. For instance, I know alot about video games and their worth, so on the side I garage sale and make lots of profit selling on ebay.

Hearing this comment made to me really irritates me.  People say oh go back to school (which I cannot afford) or develop a skill.  What skill am I suppose to develop?  I have heard a lot of people talk about making a ton of money online but I have yet to figure out how.  Most of the sites where people post pics of checks for $4000 or more for a month if I read the fine print I am looking at making a few pennies.  Idk.  Maybe I just live in a bad area.  I have not found anything worth reselling on ebay.  And there are so many fees involved I don't see how people can make any money.

Right now, I am getting desperate.  I am looking for a job but there are NONE to be found.  And the ones that offer anything want you to be available 24/7 and offer min wage for 12 to 15 hours a week.  Kind of sad huh.

That length of post I would get $1 average for on another website.

Another thing you can consider is spending a little time each day working on getting referrals. You can blog about your online money making experiences, have some low cost business cards made up with your fusioncash referral link, and make tear-sheet flyers and post them on the boards at laundry mats. You can also look online for other opportunities.

That sounds like an excellent idea! I've heard that doing blogging from home can be profitable if done correctly too. For the original topic starter (OP) I suggest you check out http://www.problogger.net/ They have some information that can help you from what I've read if you decide to blog for income.

You can also try Amazon mechanical turk. More highly skilled workers get paid more, but you could probably find some surveys or hits that you could do for a little extra cash. The surveys don't screen people out as much as they do here. They are more personality based. I have some tips for you if you try mturk.com

You must get the turkopticon toolbar to rate the requesters you do work for. I typically won't work for anyone below a rating of 3. (Google the toolbar)

Avoid penny hits and try to do ones that are at least 0.25 or more. Your time is usually better spent doing those than the 0.01 hits even though they are usually very quick.

They report anything over $600/yr to the IRS so be sure to keep an eye on your earnings and pending earnings if you don't want to have to report it.

Make sure to keep your rating high. Requesters typically want someone who is at least 90% or better and usually 95% or better.

Search for hits that you are A) Qualified for B) Try to start at hits that are at least a $1 and work your way down if you can't find any that you can do rather than work your way up and C) Hits that have the least time allotted first.  Try to keep in mind to compare the hits available based on the time they take. Some hits might be worth 0.50 and require at least 25 minutes to complete while another 0.50 hit might be 10 minutes. If you can find an equal pay hit that can be done in lesser time than try that one first.

If you make a mistake or have problems with a hit reply to a requester immediately and don't wait so that you won't forget or risk not getting credit and also get your hit rejected and your hit rating lowered. This will save you a lot of time and trouble.
