DEATH OF THE "GRASSHOPPER"
« on: June 04, 2009, 02:36:51 pm »
:crybaby2: Did you shed tears to know that David Carradine has left us?  Well, I did. What a loss! :crybaby2: I will forever hold him in my heart as the young Kwai Chang Caine, ("grasshopper") from the timeless show 'Kung Fu'.  Does anyone have any other memories of this TV icon to share?

I read on MSNBC.com that he was found either Wednesday or Thursday of this week in a luxury Bangkok Hotel, hanging in a closet naked.  They have ruled it a suicide.  Somehow, I just don't believe this.  He was working on a new movie called 'Stretch', he'd just done an interview expressing his pleasure at working again....it just doesn't make sense to me.  I'm really gonna miss him.  :'(   My husband says I always have a conspiracy theory but......well, I'm sorry, this just doesn't make sense to me.  I pray he finds peace whatever the circumstances.

I didn't shed any tears, but it's too bad.  His work in "Kung Fu" is iconic.

I think it is sad to lose a person like David in such a way, I believe in my heart that it was suicide. Maybe the pressure of the industry or there might of been health reasons that were kept quiet.  It is a loss nonetheless.  Suicide also has taken so many of the famous, such as Brad Delp of the rock band Boston, I was preplexed in how someone like Brad could give so much of his life and talent to the public and feel so empty.........the list goes on and on and on with the names that have commited suicide......let's just hope that they have found peace.  :angry7:
