I don't know either, but I would think it's hard to get a market on wholesale things, because more likely than not a thousand other people are problem doing the same thing and your profits will be very slow coming and thin.

You could start by selling old things you don't use. Then look for cheap items/good deals/bulk sales, etc.

Drop shipping can be profitable if done correctly based on what I've heard, but I don't know how it could be done on a place like Amazon that no longer pays their sellers immediately. Amazon only pays you every two weeks. With drop shipping you must pay the drop shipper the wholesale price of the item out of your profit BEFORE they ship your item to your buyer. I don't think amazon pays until you have actually shipped the item which would present a problem for potential drop shippers there. With the way they are set up now a drop shipper there would probably have to have large line of credit to pay their dropshipper to ship the item and then wait the two weeks for payment to pay the drop shipper the wholesale amount.

I spoke to a rep at Amazon in the Sellers dept and he had never even heard of drop shipping which to me isn't a good sign. I think a better bet for drop shipping would be a place that pays you immediately as soon as the buyer buys the item (ie Ebay [They will release your money once you have reached their criteria of at least 25 US based sales equalling at least $250 in gross sales, an account in good standing and being on the site 90 days or more. This is for security reasons. Until you reach their criteria you could just sell items around the house or do arbitrage to make sales] or the like) so that you can pay your drop shipper as soon as possible without a credit line and have access to your profits immediately.
