RIP Jeanne Cooper, The Young and The Restless's Katherine Chancellor, is dead.

I have been watching the Young and the Restless for a long time.  Jeanne Cooper acted her role as Katherine Chancellor.  She died today.  It is like losing a member of my extended family.  Rest In Peace, Jeanne.

That's too bad.  I was just reading a story online a few weeks ago where her son was giving updates.  I used to watch when she was still on.  Haben't kept up with that soap in years.

Wow!  I usually watch this show in the evenings and there was no mention of her death!  Even today, I haven't seen a word on it, although it seems to be all over the internet today.  How sad!  I wonder how this will stir things up on Y&R now?

I want to know the same.  With Jeanne Cooper dead, they will probably write Katherine Chancellor as dead too.  I used to watch it with my grandmother.  I picked up watching it again in the last 3 or 4 years.  The three soap operas were Young and the Restless, As the World Turns and the Edge of Night back then.

She as a megastar in my world back in the 70's.  Everybody knew who Katherine Chancellor was then.

I don't believe I have ever seen it and I'm unfamiliar with her. Many years ago I watched the NBC soaps such as The Doctors and Days of Our Lives.

This is the saddest news.  I remember watching her in black and white when I was little. My mom would set up to do her ironing and she would set me in front of the t.v. while she did it and we would watch while doing her chores.  I guess that dates me a little bit...lol.  I will definitely miss watching her on the only soap I kept up with. I also wonder what they are going to do in the show.  She is irreplaceable!!!!!!

So sad. I have been watching Y&R since I could walk. My mom us a big fan so it was a TV staple in our home. The show had lost a wonderful person. She will be missed.

I have watched the young and the restless since the day it started.  Its the only show left that I watch since they took all the cbs shows off the air. 
Jeane Cooper is one of the best actress on the show and she will be missed so much.  She can never be replaced and I will be so upset if they try to do that.
