I personally would also choose psychology.  Criminal justice is not my cup of tea.  I listen to people and can usually tell them something that will help them.  I am not in the field. :dontknow:

Dang!  It sure does.  I pay one big money every week for my son.  Yesterday I paid the psychiatrist $250.  I do believe they provide an invaluable service, but geeze, it anyone really worth that?  My experience is that typically insurance has not covered it or if it does it will only pay for about six visits.

I used to work for Blue Cross and we handled TriCare, the government benefit program for military and their families.  They paid for like six visits to a psychologist per calendar year.  Now what type of traumatic experience can possibly be cured in six visits?

I don't think I'd go for either one.  Now, if you said FORENSICS, I'd be all over it.

Psychology or criminal justice?  Both sound like great options.  Both are very helpful occupations.  Yes, the money is good in the first choice, but you have to go where your heart leads.  Where do you feel you will best be using your talents and most helpful?  I have had bad, bad, bad experiences with court-appointed attorneys.  Just don't become one of those lawyers who looks at your state cases as just one more in that long line and realize that each of your clients is a real person with a reason to be there and take the time to get to know them and read the case file.  I hate that the criminal justice system is becoming like a factory line, getting each case in and out of the courtroom so the judge can just complete his docket.  If you feel you have what it takes to pass the bar exams or the psych exams just be the best you can be each day and you will be serving well.

Good luck!

Between a choice of which to study, I choose psychology because it helps understand human behavior and ways to respond to those with problems, which is useful in any profession or relationship.

Psychology.  I've been doing it for the last 30 years and have made a good living.  I have to admit that I am about ready to retire though.
