mawhite63: I disagree with the term "free money" - unless you are digitally panhandling. I feel that comment means that you have no regard for your own time if you are doing FusionCash surveys or you are disregarding other mturkers who transcribe audio - the majority of jobs on AMT.
It's bad enough when requestors have little of no regard for a person's time who is making less than 1/2 the minimum wage but it is understandable in a commodified world where money=prestige.
BTW: I did try a paypal tip jar - didn't work, but on AMT survey on subjects that I have already written about on Hubpages or Yahoo! I do digitally panhandle and ask for a bonus based on all the extra feedback I gave. It works. I get only 25 cents bonus but at least I'm not standing in the hot sun or a cold windy day doing the Obama refrain: "Change? .... Change?"
I don't write so much in 2013 since - I wasn't making a goodly amount of money and decided to try all these Ejobs. I focused on FusionCash & AMT because I'm doing this for cash. and not for prizes or 'points'. I can't type fast enough for transcription. I've tried and ended up making about $1.56/hour. I do not consider it 'free cash' because time is money. I like to write as therapy. As evident in my postings I'm am very passionate and a slave to my emotions but I really try to inject some comedic relief.
Chung Mee: Opium is my business. The bridge mean more traffic. More traffic mean more money. More money mean more power.
Lawrence Bourne III: Yeah, well, before I commit any of that to memory, would there be anything in this for me?
Chung Mee: Speed is important in business. Time is money.
Lawrence Bourne III: You said opium was money.
Chung Mee: Money is Money.
Lawrence Bourne III: Well then, what is time again?
Other e-jobs that I was unimpressed with: crowdflower, copyscape, scribie, freearticlespinner, clixsense, minuteworkers, microworkers, prizerebel, zoombucks, jobboy, shorttask, clickworker, crowdflower, millisecond and crowdmed.
Big data and data exhaust was used during the FBI's investigation that crowdsourced photos and lead to the bombers. That was all done as a civic duty and not for money. Bless all who posted pictures and videos online that lead to the capture of these despicable criminals. -
