A.C units
« on: April 01, 2013, 06:35:47 am »
does anyone remember the A.C. units you installed in the window [frame]?
Surely, they weren't much good compared to what's available nowadays.
And yet, we were happy for relief from the hot summer nights.

I remember the first one as a married person, we pulled the mattress off the bed and put it in the living room, now we're spoiled and can't imagine life without it...

I always had a window unit when I was a kid.  We had to use one last summer when our central air went out.  It wasn't too bad.

AC units were the worst. When I initially moved into my house it had one AC unit in the kitchen.  It stuck out like a sore thumb.  Could not wait to get Central Air.
