An electric car has definite benefits, but there are not many charging stations. It will take a long time to have as many around as gas stations.
I wonder if any current gas stations have thought about adding this type of service?

You won't like it when one of those batteries drop dead and it costs you $5,000 to replace it.

I work in insurance, mostly auto.  About 3-4 weeks ago I talked to a man in OK who had just bought a Honda natural-gas powered car.  Honda makes such a model, and he said that with the incentives and tax breaks the purchase price was about what he would have paid for a gasoline-powered Honda.  It seems that in his area there are plenty of places to get compressed natural gas, and it runs about 99 cents a gallon.  He was VERY happy with the vehicle and the availability of fuel for it.

I live near Oak Ridge TN, and around here there are lots of research projects going on, including studies on alternative fuels.  Who knows?  Some possibilities sound far-fetched now, but--gasoline used to be just a waste by-product left over when oil was refined for other purposes.

The brain is a muscle that can move the world.

My feelings on the electric/hybrid car.

Electric/hybrid cars owners are treated better than disabled people.

If you shopping or to the hospital or to the doctors..
You see Electric/hybrid car parking right up front.  The entire front of the location.

Then you have handicapped.

Electric/hybrid car parking is closer to the building.

Someone want to explain that?

I agree they are better for the enviroment.. better then fuel etc...

But lets make them equal.  And push the handicap people behind those owners.

Just saying....

Happy Earnings!!
