:wave:What are your opinioons on whether the guy should have intervened to help this vet who turned on him and his buddy, killing them both at a shooting range? My thoughts were"Why did these 2 take this mentally unstable man to a gun range and give him a gun?" According to what the parents of the disturbed vet, they begged to leave him in the institution. Your thoughts. I still am gratiful for his service and wanting to give back to his fellow vets. He is a hero.

I agree with everything you said.  While I am grateful for his service to this country, one of the first things I thought when I read that news report was why did these two men take that man to the shooting range and give him a gun.  I didn't make sense to me.  Was that meant to be some kind of therapy, do you think?

That is horribly tragic.  I also question why they even took him out there and gave him a gun. This will be one of those "the gun will get blamed for it" arguments for the gun ban.  It's a real shame and so sad that such a hero lost it like that.

This ones easy to answer because before he died he did an interview and gave his opinion on soldiers returning tom the war committing these type of acts. What he said was when soldiers come back they are just left to deal with the horrors of war. He went on to ask this question of society. When something like this happens ask yourself is it the soldier that chose to leave the community and go rogue or was it the community that abandoned that soldier. He asked for there to not be such a quick rush to judgement before the investigation is over.
