doing what you love for a living
« on: February 02, 2013, 01:06:36 pm »
If you do what you love for a living, does it take away the love? Do you stop loving it as much as you did, when you have to do it under someone else s terms, or spend so much time with it every day?

Good question - all I know is that I went to college for a job I knew I would love and not for a job that would make me a lot of money!

Many people do the unthinkable just to survive...even if they do not like their jobs and assignments.

i haven't found anywhere that will hire you to eat,
nap, and play online all day... but i really don't think i would
love it any less, if i was able to do it every day  ;) lol.

I wish I could make enough money doing what I love. Maybe someday.

I had a job doing what I loved for about ten years and it didn't get "old" until I let someone's continuous criticizing & degrading remarks just about totally kill what passion I had for the profession.  Some health issues and a life event that followed had me looking for totally new jobs.  I've spent almost three years enjoying these jobs as well but I don't "LOVE" them, I am so BORED.  I miss doing what I once had a passion for.  I am seriously considering options for going back to it but in kind of a different way.  It would be so great to be working with a "passion" again.
