living on the street sucks

A lot of people in my area have started renting out rooms.
It helps out the homeowner and the renter.
The cost of a room is much less than an entire house or apartment.

What a frightening situation to be in.  I feel for you.  If you have any relatives at all I would reach out to them no matter how much you might not want to.  Almost anything is tolerable for a little while until you can work something else out.

I have no clue why anyone has such a problem as living on the street, with the federal government picking up all of the people's expenses.  Just witness Hostess.  The bakers union prefers to be out of a job rather than working for less money.  That's because they will get unemployment compensation for 2 years and can then go on SS disability and they will also have medicaid, food stamps, free medical care etc.

I don't know why anyone is living on the street unless they are a druggie or homeless.  This government gives you food stamps, unemployment compensation and welfare at the expense of the rest of us.  So why are you living on the street?

homeless and living on the street are the same thing. You think some foodstamps are going to give me a place to live? you can't get unemployment very easy. and it is tough out there.

Well, I was reading this and never like to judge people but Icouldn't help but think....how are you able to get on the internet and partipate in Fusion Cash?  Is it with a smart phone?  I don't have a smart phone, libraries charge to use their computer, I was just curious.   As far as living on the street, I would think that this is a choice you have made either by running, hiding something perhaps?  I agree with the other post, this country helps so much, too much in fact, either you haven't went to the right places or something,  there is always a place to sleep, they also will help getting job, and food stamp programs also does give cash.  Local churches usually help also, but the biggest thing is....Do you really want help?  If so, then really search the area you are in, I would guarantee there is help somewhere!!

Many years ago my husband was homeless for about 6 months. He said he did everything in his power to get off the streets and finally did it...that he did not enjoy not having a roof over his head and the ability to take a shower when needed. For years we did a homeless feeding ministry and was able to hear many stories.

Do what you can to not have to live like that. It's not glamorizing at all! Get help. Find a shelter if needed. There are many organizations out there.

I have never lived on the streets, but I do pray for those who have no other options.   I am sure it is the worst that could happen to anyone.

Jobs are out there. Maybe not what you want and don't pay much, and you may have too get 2, but so be it. I know of a lot of people who have worked 2 jobs nyself included. Would rather have a little then nothing. I know it may be hard for you but if you want to keep a roof over your head work.

when i made the post i wasn't on the street yet, i said i might be, and thankfully I found a place to go and live, and get some work with very little pay. you can't get money through foodstamps unless you are living in the same household as your kids, and you really need it and even then it doesn't last long, and isn't much. There is some help out there, but my pride makes it hard for me to ask. I may be leaving the situation im in now, and if that happens i will have to ask for help from someone. And stay at a shelter until i can get back on my feet. Where I'm at now, things are not going anywhere.
