There are a lot of threads discussing how to get referrals. A good place to start would be to look at Oldbuddy's posts on this topic. He is a master at that, and loves to share his knowledge.

The only site you can post on to guarantee no complaints is one of your own. Since it only costs a couple bucks a month to set one up, I think that's a No Brainer. Then keep in mind, you get more referrals from Telling than Selling.

How about placing a small ad in your local paper.. Will this work.. How do you think it should be worded? :binkybaby:

You shouldn't rely on referrals to make money. Find some forums were it's okay to post your ref link, but don't devote too much time to it.

WHY NOT???? If it were not for the referral program here I would have been long gone.

Here is why that is an unsuccessful venture...

When you place an ad in the paper you are targeting a GEOGRAPHIC area.
When you find potential recruits online, you are recruiting them based on their interest.

It's easier to get 100 people to sign up if you ask 1,000 people looking to make money at home than it is to get 100 people to sign up that are from Cleveland.

See what I mean?

I almost agreed with you until I thought about it. First of all the 1,000 people you contact online are going to be VERY SKEPTICAL and suffering from ad blindness, so it will probably need to end up being 10,000. Second the 100 people in Cleveland are probably going to NEED extra money and don't know about this way to get some, you just educated them. They most likely haven't been brainwashed yet into believing everything online is a scam. Another big factor is, since you are local and have your contact info in the ad, they know you are one of their peers and not just some scam artist. Just thoughts, I haven't tried it yet. Of course the downside is, it costs money to advertise this way.
