undecorating the house

I tend to find people in two different camps.... Some get the decorations down as soon after Xmas as possible, even before the end of the Xmas season (which would be January 6th, the 12th Day of Xmas when churches celebrate when the 3 Wise Men made their appearance at Jesus' birth). Others hate pulling down the decorations and so even into February there still may be some decorations up. Up here in Minnesota, I think people tend to fall more into the latter category... January's are usually the coldest month so some of the outdoor decorations stay put until the first warm weekend (reading "warm" as having a temperature above 20-degrees). Some people that have a huge light display may never take them down; they'll just refrain from turning them on after the Xmas season.

We always take the Christmas decorations down New Year's Day.  It's funny, we have no decorations most of the year, then we put up the Christmas ones for a few weeks, but when we take them down the room looks so empty.

Same here we always wait until after New Years to take the decorations down and once done you look around and you think the place looks alot bigger in our house your like did someone move something get thrown out and it looks so plain also TOO FUNNY
