OMG i have a fluffy dog (some sort of golden retriever, collie mix) and her fur is EVERYWHERE. I vaccum every day and within minutes there goes a fluffy tumbleweed. I swear i could spend hours brushing her and the fur would keep coming!

A friend told me to use a car window cleaner (a squeegee? it has rubber on one end - one also uses it to clean shower glass) on a carpet where the dog hairs are imbedded. Apparently it pulls all the hair out of the carpet fiber. I have not tried it yet.

Thanks for the tip, but I just vacuum and am going to get an IRoomba that is supposed to pick up pet hair... I'll let you know... that doesn't help furniture, but it will help the floor...

I use a product called "Mr. Sticky"  It is a washable lint roller.  It works great for picking up pet hair and other thing.  The best part is that you can wash it and reuse it.

I've had pets my whole life so I think life without pet hair would just seem unnatural to me. haha Right now I have three dogs. One of them has pretty short hair so her hair doesn't really get all over (except for during times when she sheds half her hair when you pet her, which thankfully isn't often). The other two have longer (and somewhat thicker) hair. Drives me completely insane when they start shedding, I swear their hair never ends!  :BangHead: It would be nice to not have pet hair all over, but for the most part it's not that bad since most of it is on the floor.

I have 2 labs and 4 cats!  Talk about hair, at times you can see it flying in the air.  I brush the dogs daily (which does help), can't touch the cats with a brush/comb they carry on like they are being killed)!  I do vacumn daily, but will try the gloves.  I had heard about dryer sheets but never tried them.

I have leather couches and I wash my sheets once a week.  Vacuuming is alot of work but my pets don't shed too much.  Good luck.
