When you were growing up, did your mom ever put medicine in something else, applesauce, for instance, to get you to take it?

My mom would dissolve an aspirin in water and a little bit of syrup to make it easier to take; however, I think I was swallowing tablets by the time I was 6 years old.

I had forgotten all about dissolving aspirin in water, lol till sherryinutah mentioned it!!  My Mom did that too!  Those were much simpler times without so many medicinal choices.

No mom had a approach all of her own like making me gargle with tequila for a sore throat YUCK!

Don't remember ever taking any medicine that way.  I do remember taking a liking to the taste of baby aspirin and Vicks Formula 44.

I remember my mom putting tablets in a banana to make it easier for me to chew them.

Way back in the day..... My Mom used to give us a teaspoon of bourbon for a cough.

My mom never put medicine in anything.  I just had to take it as it was and she was big on cod liver oil once a week for me.

I always heard about cod liver oil neverhad to take any.  I remember liking the taste of baby asiprin.

I have heard of so many people who had to take cod liver oil.....What is it suppose to be good for?   Sound gross.  I don't remember having medicine ground or mashed into anything, but it might have been.
