I don't go to many movies, but "This is 40" looks hilarious.  I may not be able to wait for the DVD.  The last movie I saw in a theatre was  the first "Sex and the City" in 2008!

I saw the movie Doubt recently, I highly recommend it.  It was a really amazing story, though I don't think I really saw a protagonist in it.  It definitely kept me guessing.

I just saw The Hobbit, Jack Reacher and Parental Guidance.  They were all pretty good movies.  Parental Guidance was cute.

In the past few weeks, I have seen Life of Pi (very good though I haven't read the book to compare it), Silver Lining Playbook (okay, just thought they romanticized the mental illness of the protagonists too much), Cirque du Soleil (amazing to see in 3D), and Django Unchained (I enjoyed it, but it is a Quentin Tarantino film so lots of violence and profanity-if that bothers you, avoid it).

My boyfriend and I also rented Moonrise Kingdom (quirky and odd, visually lovely), King's Speech (more interesting than I thought it would be and I now understand why it got Best Picture), and Up in the Air.  We'd seen the last when it came out in the theaters and we watched the deleted scenes.  Usually, I understand why they leave them out of a film, but I think they should have left a lot of these in because it made Nick Clooney's character a lot more sympathetic and a lot less of a jerk.

I have just seen Skyfall, the new James Bond Movie and Lincoln.  Both very different, but both good movies.  However, Sean Connery is the real James Bond and he was really the best Bond.

While I haven't seen Skyfall yet, I am a great fan of the James Bond movies in general, and I have to agree that Sean Connery was, is, and always will be the one true Bond. No one else ever came close. That might be a good topic to start here since there have been so many!
