I have only one cat and she is enough for me.  She does not like competition from other animals.  She wants me as her only companion.
Also, she has a insatiable appetite but at mixed intervals throughout the day.  I have actually had to feed her in the early morning hours ( 12M, 3AM, 5 AM, etc.).  However, she is respectable of my sleep and she will generally not wake me up to feed her.  She waits patiently for me to wake up for whatever reason and then starts to whine to be fed.  She is also very fussy about what food she will eat at what time.  And she meows a lot when she wants something. At times, I would like to give her to someone else to take care of, but she is a good companion and I love her a lot.

I have one cat...:cat:

I buy 16 lb bag of dry cat food and a 24 pack of wet cat food to give her variety. Plus a 34 lb bag of kitty litter...So in total that would be around $36.00. For one cat, that usually lasts a good while. And I feed her about 1 cup, 2 to 3 times a day or whenever she's hungry.

We have two cats.  For the most part, I feed them real chicken thighs.  I also give them the odd tin of cat food, but not that often.

I have on 13 pounds dog, she only eats Beneful (very picky that one), I buy a 5 lbs. bag every month, I give her 1 cup a day and since she does not eat all at once that is more than enough for her, about 2 times a week a threat her to wet food (don't want to spoil her).  Once a year spend about $100 for vet and shots and she is the one unconditional love I have in my house, the one that is always happy to see me no matter what.

In total I might spend about $15 a month, between food and threats like dentiks and bacon strips.

I have a 70 pound black lab and she gets about a cup and half twice a day of Alpo kibble plus a few treats during the day. We buy her food in the 50 lb bag from Sams and it lasts us about three months. When we got her 5 1/2 years ago when she was a pup we went to different vets and got prices before we commeted to her.(one of my husbands co workers dog had pups) We went to Banfield in our local pet smart and signed her up for one of their wellness plans. It includes all of her shots except for the dental and two comp exams a year where they do blood work etc and we get any meds at a discount and it only costs us $25 a month taken out on the debit card. :dog:

1 dog, small, he gets a milk bone treat when the cats get their tuna.
they are not overweight and in good health.

I have 6 dogs & 2  cats.  All pets are indoor pets.  I've never figured out how much we spend on food and litter.  Two of the dogs are labs and they eat 1 cup of Blue twice a day.  The other  are little dogs and they only eat canned food (Science).  I got through about 3 cans a day.  My cats are free fed (always food down), they also eat Science dry & canned.  I open 2 cans a day for them & there are two dishes of dry for them all the time.  The litter boxes are completely cleaned out every other day, washed & fresh litter put in.  Between the food, grooming (for the 4 little dogs) and vet bills,  I have no idea what we spend, I guess I should add it up one month (but I'm probably afraid of the total)!!
