Its not just the President
« on: November 07, 2012, 03:02:38 pm »
It is very funny to me how so many people want to only point fingers at presidents, when in reality its not the president who makes the final desicions.  Also if you are not happy with who is President, I hope you voted.  I am tired of hearing people say how this country is going down the drain and then come to find out they didnt even vote.  If you wanna change then you better make the change

Bravo, I have seen and heard it all day today. Folks didn't vote which could have counted in their local elections.

I agree completely.  Are things perfect?  No, but that doesn't mean we can all blame it on one person.  My nose is stuffy, so blaming it on the President seems kinda overkill, yet that's what it sounds like when other blame everything on him.  And not voting just proves they don't care.  I feel if a person votes, they get to complain; if not, then they have to accept what others choose.

I don't vote and I rarely complain, but I was under the impression that the final vote for president comes from the house of democrates and repulicans.  I just don't like when they say bad things about those who they are running against and that means every politions.  I think they all tell us what we want to here and than don't follow through with it so why vote?  I guess I may not understand all the things when it comes to politians.

I always wonder why it's even a big deal to vote for a president any way. If he doesn't have the backing of congress, nothing will be passed any way. And the way it seems.....there is always a little blurb stuck in the bills that will make the other party not want to vote for it. If you ask me, when a bill is written up, it should be on one topic alone. It is wrong that they allow pay raises and crap like that to be added on to a bill about education or immigration. Maybe we could actually pass some decent laws without trouble and get money where it is supposed to if these little extras weren't thrown on.
