Unlike notebooks, netbook do not have a CD/DVD drive. How important would one be to you, or how often do you think you will need it?

If it's your only computer, I would go for a notebook to have the CD/DVD drive. I have both and use them equally, but I also have a complete home network so I can move files and load programs without a CD. Now they have USB devices you can plug in when you need them, yet have a lightweight netbook you can carry around easily, which is a plus. For instance, I like to spend a little time downstairs watching TV with my wife, but I plug a USB stick in my netbook to boot up Linux and surf a few traffic exchanges at the same time. That way I don't get any spyware or viruses while I visit who knows where?

I choose notebook. I don’t know why netbooks exist in the market since we already have notebooks. :dontknow: It all depends on your personal needs.

Simple, netbooks are smaller, lighter and CHEAPER than notebooks.

I don't have either, have my trusty MacBook and it does everything I need so notebooks are redundant.

I was planning on getting a netbook awhile ago, but now with all the tablets out there, not sure if I would need a netbook.

Depends on how you will use it. If you only want to surf the net and check your email then go with Netbook. If you want to do more, then I would recommend a Notebook.

I prefer a notebook because I can put DVDs and CDs in it.  A netbook does not have a place where you can use DVDs or CDs.
