I try to be an informed voter but when in doubt, I vote party on an individual basis.  I never vote a straight party ticket.

I, too, research each candidate to find out as much about them, their background, and their platform to decide whether or not to vote for them - regardless of party.  I've found I end up voting a wide variety - Dems, Repubs, and other various 3rd parties.  Even if I voted for someone who was elected one year, I re-analyze the job they did over their term if they run for re-election to decide if I still want to vote for them or whomever they run against in the next election.

Im unaffiliated with any party so I tend to vote for the right person who I think will focus on issues that may concern me. At the moment one major issue I have is Women rights. I think its our choice and please dont try to infer on our choices.

I vote with my party, not because I am loyal to party lines, but because I share the beliefs of most of the party's platform.  If another party began to hold values and beliefs that mimicked my own, then I would have no problem switching.

That's pretty much how I feel.I tend to vote for my party's candidate most often in the National elections. The more local contests can be decided differently, sometimes.

What  choice do we have anymore, they say it is free country, but our leaders are chosen by cooperations.

I am registered as independent so :D I can vote for whoever I want.  And not by party line.

I don't vote for any specific party.  In each election I determine which candidate I like and that is who I vote for.  I can understand people liking one party more than the other in general, but I think it is absurd to vote one way in each election.
