getting credits to post??

was wondering if anyone could tell me what to do if a credit doesnt post?? i placed a order with Ghirardelli and have already received the item i ordered and still have not gotten the credit of 3.50 yet do the offers take longer to post?? any help will be greatly appreciated!! thanks
