Trick or treat

What are your feelings about trick & treating?  I love it when the little kids come all dressed up, but what do you do when you open the door and find a group of 15 to 16 year olds, no costume, not even a mask, do you give them candy or not?

Yeah, I do. It's part of the fun. It doesn't happen around here but it used to when we were up North. I'd always think it was funny when it was a group of teenagers with no costumes. It was fun to tease them and hear the funny things they had to say. I miss it.

I also love the costumes on the little ones ... I  love when the parents that walk around
with the little ones dress up too and also put a costume on the dog ... now that's just too funny.

I am always ready (with candy that I like), however, we live in a farming area and the houses are so far apart that kids don't come (THAT'S WHY I GET CANDY I LIKE, BECAUSE I'M THE ONE WHO WILL EAT IT!)

In the past it was great fun for the kids, but with all the sickos and perverts poisoning the goodies, it simply is not safe anymore.

  I love when the little ones come all dressed up, and the parents.  When they bring dogs it makes my dogs go nuts, so I don't like that so much.  We are in a big city, but live on a dead end cul-de-sac so we actually get very few trick or treaters.

Yea i would  give them candy to mean halloween  is for everyone  to have fun

I do we don't know their circumstances maybe they don't have enough money to buy a costume

I would give them candy! You can dress as yourself for Halloween!

no trick or treating is for little kids i would say 13 and younger. the bigger kids should let them enjoy it

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.  I used to get TONS of kids coming around in my old neighborhood for Halloween.  I dressed up every year as the Grim Reaper, and my daughter dressed as a very creepy looking clown.  We'd set up a table outside with bleeding candles and the candy dish (besides all of the great Halloween decorations, complete with music).  Most people thought we were just part of the decorations until we moved or said something and scared the living daylights out of them.  Some were so impressed by our make-up (very proud to say we did it ourselves), they even took photos with us.  Haha!  Great fun!!

Of course, we had quite a few of the older kids, too.  I'd let them have their candy, too.  Halloween's for everybody.  If they're out there parading around in costume, I think it's great.

When I was a kid, grown-ups really got into Halloween.  The lady across the street always made popcorn *bleep* and dressed up as a witch     I enjoy the kids that come by but don't have all the fun she had.
