Money making ideas?
« on: April 11, 2009, 08:57:49 pm »
What are your money making ideas?
If you have a store online; then what company do you use?
What makes it successful?
What got you into that line of work?
Anything else you wish to mention that may be beneficial to others.
thanks ahead,

The only way you are going to make money is to spend a lot of money.  Most people and/or companies tell you they have money making ideas but charge you a a hefty price to tell you the idea.  But then, that's how they make their money.

I get emails from "millionaire wanting to share his ideas"  but at an inflated price. :BangHead:

You always gotta spend some money to make some, but I would have to say sell stuff on ebay and half.com.  You should be able to make a quick buck, with little effort.

I also recieve a large number of e-mails from a variety of sites telling me how I can make thousands of dollars a month, but only if a pay a start up fee. Those are all obviously scams.

Selling your unwanted things is a great idea, because not only do you get rid of things you no longer need, you also make money easily.

This is complete utter nonsense, specifically on the Internet.  You do not have to spend "a lot" of money to make money.  You can start a website or blog for under $10 a month.  There are people making normal incomes or above normal incomes just by blogging (we're talking 60,000 a year...same as a full time job).

You don't have to blow money on sites to make money, especially the sites that promise you all these lavish ideas and secret knowledge...they have absolutely nothing secret that would be of value to anyone.  They prey on gullible people who are too lazy to find information themselves (everything they have to say is already out there, trust me).

The last thing that should be on your mind when attempting to make money online is that you have to put hundreds to thousands of dollars into it.  Completely false and numerous people who have made success out of online ventures will tell you the same.

Now, putting some money into it, sure.  That's what being an entrepreneur is all about.  Taking risks, investing a little money into a good idea, and working to make it have a good return.  That doesn't mean you throw money at random sites promising you silly promises.

The world of online money-making is vast, great, and yet dangerous. I've set myself up with about 12 sites that are making me money, prizes, etc. You just have to be picky on what you join, and try and get the best deal on whatever you do. Most of these sites I joined because I got rewarded (from a referral exchange site), which made me money just from that.

I don't reply to any of the emails or sites that want to teach me to make money for a price.
Half of them will tell you the secret is to open a web site where you tell people you'll teach them to make money for a price, (see how that works?), the other half want to charge you a monthly fee for the privilege of telling you things you could have found out on your own for free.

The only type of service I offer in exchange for money is translating services. I live in a diversified community and many people don't speak English well so I help them, sometimes I just do it as an act of kindness. I just started this online but like everyone else said, it requires some kind of investment or out of pocket expense to start and get somewhere.
