Turning 27
« on: August 26, 2012, 12:21:24 am »
I turned 27 yesterday, finding out I'd be participating in an intervention on my best friend the next day for her alcoholism.

Failed miserably today, took her to the rehab place, she lied to the friends that took her turning it around on her husband, later to leave before the assessment. I was curious, I blamed her Mom because she is psycho and poison and the people who went with us didn't know any of them. They were never around, it being my best friend I knew all about how horrible the drinking had gotten, but Mom was being a succubus and started playing puppet master with her daughter getting exactly in her mind.

Anyways, friend left on her own, leaving us to drive back and I felt horrible. My voice was not heard over the intervention because of the crazies and unorganized way it went. So, I'm already 2 days into being 27, I got so much excitement.

What was it like being 27 for everyone else? My manager told me, 30 is her favorite age to be.

I don't know, I'm only 23 so haven't had the experience yet.  Though, from previous years, it will probably be about the same as before.  Unless you plan on doing something extreme, like moving or changing jobs, I doubt there will be much difference from other years.

The more in your twenties you get the more mature, in touch, comfortable with yourself. You discover more about yourself and just understand things better. They say most people should wait until late 20s before they get married.
