I vaguely remember Jem girls, but not the Pirates one. Looney Toons and Scooby Doo were my favorites, followed by several of the action cartoons (GI Joe, He-Man, Thundercats, Transformers, etc.) Just the other day I saw some Thundercats merch. at Walmart and I was thinking it's pretty old to still be out on the shelves, even if it was in the clearance section! Maybe if they're remaking / rerunning the series it makes more sense.... I also loved Pinky and the Brain although that was a 90s show. I still think that is very entertaining, even grown up.

I used to love watching Mighty Mouse, The Grape Ape and Jabber Jaw. Those were classics cartoons as well. They don't make the good ones like they used to.

It's funny that you mention that they don't make cartoons as they used to.  They've since brought back several 80s shows within the last decade and now including My Little Ponies, GI Joe, Thundercats, Strawberry Shortcake, The Ninja Turtles, Transformers, Pound Puppies, and He-Man.  There were rumors they were going to bring back Jem due it's popularity on Hub.  I'll be glad if they remake Dynosaucers or Silverhawks.
I remember Dynosaucers, but a remake of any old cartoon will only be good if the right people work on it.

ahhh you have wounded me with this memory. lol. pirates of dark waters was one of my favorite cartoons and also one of the only cartoons i can remember that never ended. the show was dropped and never came to a conclusion. i guess you can say in the end that the dark water won. lame and sad. too bad that it wasn't popular enough to be picked up again and given a proper ending. so sad...

Wow, haven't heard those names in a while. I can very vaguely recall them. I guess I need to go look them up now and refresh my memory! I wish they still made cartoons the way they used to, to me everything past the 90's are pretty much crap.

I'm an 80's baby so I don't remember much of the 80's but I do miss Maya The Bee (which nobody in the world seems to remember but me) and Gullah Gullah Island.  I'm delighted they are bringing back so of my childhood favs such as Muppet Babies, Smurfs, Ninja Turtles, and Looney Toons.  They even still play old school on NickToons.

I don't remember either one of them but I might be a little too old. I loved the Wacky racers which were on in the 70s.

I remember Jem, but not Pirate of Dark Water. I never really cared for Jem. I was more into GI-Joe, Transformers, Heathcliff, Voltron, and Mask.  :)
