Just happened to be in Costco and I saw Buffy the Vampire Slayer Seasons 1-4 for only $10 a Season.  I couldn’t believe it.  The cheapest I’ve ever seen a season Best Buy is trying to get rid of is between $20-$30.  You better believe I bought it.  A Barging is a barging after all.

Needed a new watch.  Once I started wearing timex I never used another brand so I searched their website.  Totally found this purple Expition that I liked with the Nylon band.  The only problem was it was $50.  So I go to the Target website and find out they sell Timex.  I couldn’t believe it!  I went to the local target store and they not only had that particular watch but I was able to by two of them for the same $50 that Timex wanted just one.  Clearly sometimes buying direct from the company is not the cheapest route.

I got 7 quarts of paint at ace hardware store free. Took me a couple of weekends but well worth it. Painted my kitchen a lovely red color I have always wanted.

When I was 18 and moving into my first apartment with a friend, the bedrooms didn't have closets, so I needed to buy a freestanding wardrobe. I went to a Goodwill store and got this absolutely beautiful old wardrobe with tons of drawers and storage space for very little money. I'm pretty sure that with tax and delivery it was about $100 max.

Once I got it home I noticed one of the drawers wouldn't shut all the way. When I pulled it out to see what was causing that, there was a two piece Evan-Picone  dress behind it. It was crumbled and wrinkled but in really amazing shape. I was a vintage clothes nut at the time so I knew I had found something really amazing.

After I had it dry cleaned I took it to a vintage clothes shop where I used to buy things to talk to the owner about it, because she was like a walking encyclopedia for vintage labels. She said based on the design from the label itself she'd guess it was somewhere around late 50's and was in pristine condition. It fit me perfectly and it was just beautiful. Classic and timeless.  That dress lasted another 23 years, until one day it just got lost during a move. I was really sad to lose it, I always had a hope that one day I'd have a grandaughter or daughter in law who was a vintage fashionista during her 20's like I was that I could pass it on to.

But I still have the antique wardrobe! :)

tl;dr version: Got a vintage women's designer dress inside a wardrobe for free - it lasted 23 years in mint condition

Just bought a new hp computer from a local best buy store.  I lucked out.  I wound up with a supervisor who gave me a huge discount.  Not only was the computer I wanted on sale but he knocked off another $20.  So the computer was $60 less than orginally priced.  Then he charged me for one year geek squad tech support put gave me two years so that was half off and took off about a third the price on the anti-virus and another third off the hardware warranty for four years.  All in all I expected to pay $2000 for the whole deal with an extra disc drive, the installation to it and an external hard drive all included.  The truth is I only paid $900 for the whole thing.  To me that was a bargin.
