what do you do when you get mad

I hit my punching bag until I'm exhausted, then I take a nap.

I usually try to control my temper so most of the time I just walk away until I calm down
& can talk without yelling.

There are times though when just letting it out is the right thing to do.

I usually go outside or into another room and take deep slow breaths....

I pray and let God handle it.  I am only human so I try to calm myself down and go somewhere by myself and relax.

I am not easily to get angry but when I do I stay angry for days without saying a word to anyone.

I agree with you. The minute I feel myself getting mad which is not too often I go into shut
down mode and when that happens it takes a couple of days to get back to a comfortable
level of sanity.

I have a small anger problem sometimes (basically when someone is SO far wrong and won't admit it, but rather covers up their mistakes really gets me), but I just go for a walk, or out for a drive or listen to music. Music calms me down easily.
