Macbook Pro or Sony Vaio?

i want to get a new laptop and can't decide which one is better.
not sure which Sony Vaio series is good as well, haha.
I'd be using the laptop for school and just normal stuff.

It is hard to decide because they are both very good laptop.

My advice, don't get a laptop.  They're compact, which means they overheat easy.  You could build a PC that lasts for 5-7 years for the price of a laptop.  As a general rule though, I would never buy anything apple makes.  Sony is a much better company with a longer lasting reputation.  As long as you take care of it, a VAIO should last at least 3-4 years before the processor, ram, and graphics card become completely out dated.

I'm hoping my next laptops is some sort of ultrabook.  Something fairly small, very light, and very, very powerful.
