limo for bday

so for my bday i am taking some friends and ppl out on a limo party bus thing and staying overnight in the city (chicago) and its turning out to be a big expense should i ask ppl to pitch in some money i hate asking ppl for a single dollar i hate accepting money but its gotten to be very pricey what should i do?
