Looks like they might be going to four games, instead of current system....thoughts?

I have always said there should be a playoff system in college football just like any other game.  Let the teams and players decide the overall winner and not the voters.

The good news is there's going to be MORE football.  The bad news, a selection committee gets to decide who the four teams are, instead of the top 4 teams from the polls.

I will wait and see how this all works out! It should be a good thing, but money and politics could ruin it.

all that means to me! Is vividly wasted more good television time, with football which I don't watch. I would rather watch a good old movie or good new movie. than any sports event on television! So I guess I won't watch it as a new footballs teams. I care less if they have one game or 200 games playoff just take up good television time far as I'm concerned!I feel the same way about pro sports as I do about college football.

8 teams would be better but as usual protect bowls that are in outdated system.

I would like a 6 or 8 team playoff. 8 would be perfect, 4 games the last week of the season, 2 on New Year's Day, championship game a week later.

Now we get to argue why one team is #4 and why #5 did not make it in - but it is a start to fix that terrible BCS system.

I'm fine with the top four, but I think six would be the best.  I don't think anyone outside of the top six has a realistic chance of winning a playoff.  In '11 the six teams would have been Alabama, Ok State, LSU, Stanford, USC, and Oregon.  USC wouldn't be allowed, so their spot would go to either Arkansas, Boise State, or Wisconsin.  In '10 the six teams would have been Auburn, Oregon, TCU, Stanford, Wisconsin, and Ohio State.  In '09 the six teams would have been Alabama, Texas, TCU, Cincy, Florida, and Boise State.  In those three years the only team who would have a legitimate claim for an inclusion would be '10's Michigan State who had one loss in the regular season and a win over Wisconsin.  However, anyone who actually watched football that season would not have put them over Wisconsin in a rematch, nor anyone above them in the top 8.

I like it.  I am so tired of hearing about the complaining from the fans and sportscasters about the BCS and whatever system they though of to rank teams.  You settle things on the field, not on a computer.  That's why we play the game.
