It seems (to me) like yesterday - watching the riots on television.  Despite all Rodney King's personal problems and horrendous experiences, to me he was a hero.  Not all heroes are knights in shining armor.  Some are everyday people.

I'm not sure what type of hero he was but he did die at a young age.

yeah don't think he was a hero. maybe he didn't deserve the beating he got but he was on drugs speeding through a residential area when he was stopped.
