anyone take the Ebay offer?

Has any taken up the offer for EBay membership? I did a year ago.  I decided to auction and I bid on a painting I liked;  but never having been to an auction or bid before I was a nervous wreck by the time I finished.  I've never been back

Ebay scares me because of some many unknowns.  I've read so much about people being ripped off for their product.  Did you get the item you bidded on or what?

Haven't seen the ebay offer yet as I am brand new, but I have never had a bad experience with ebay, especially when added to paypal so you are protected times 2.  Just be smart enough to demand shipping insurance, and read the sellers feedback if there are negatives write to the buyer and ask them more details, it truely is a vommunity of people helping eachother out for the most part.

I got the bid and I think at a fair price. It was difficult because I was new to the pace of the site.  I woke up the next 2 mornings with only that on my mind. The angst that went higher as the Lithograph took on other bidders kept me from returning. I'm sure it'll be different when I do go back.  I'm a little more relaxed today after a year on the net. Being in this forum is great with all the tips you can pick up to prevent the pitfalls.

I loves me some ebay.  It is really just about being smart and reading carefully.  Make sure that the lot doesn't leave anything out, and if an offer seems too good to be true it probably is.  Don't get me wrong it is all about awesome deals, but if you see something on ebay that you normally cant get anywhere else for under 100 bucks and for some reason it has a buy it now price of five bucks, then is the time to ask questions.

Ebay has a alot of scams, but a lot of legit offers as well.  Just like most places, you just got to know what you are lookoing for.
