Psychics and other expensive habits?
« on: May 28, 2012, 05:44:58 am »
Is anyone else here addicted to online psychic readings, or maybe someone else was addicted and was able to get out. I spend a lot of money on this habit and never find out anything useful but I can't stop.

Maybe you have another costly habit, where you spend more than you should for a service or a particular item. What is/was your expensive habit? Have you been able to stop, or like me are still at it?

It may be that you have a compulsively-addictive personality trait - one would think that if those "psychic readings" had validity, one of them would have mentioned that.  However, since their business is to talk you out of your money, that's an unlikely 'prediction' for them to make.

My most costly "habit" is life.  Sure, I could go out into the wilderness, knock rocks together for fire - fish, hunt or trap but, cell phone service is so bad that far out from 'civilization' ...
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

Realize that any problem you may have will not be solved by a psychic. They're all liars or delusional. Google "cold reading."

While I do fully believe there are real and true psychics, most people that you encounter claiming to be one are not. At best they are simply really good at reading peoples emotions, body language and such. As for habits I have, none that really cost any money or at least not large amounts. That being said gambling would probably be the one vise I would get addicted to if I allowed myself to. However since I know this I'm very careful about it. I rarely ever gamble and when I do I only allow myself a set amount and no more.
