We usually go over to our parents house, cook him dinner, give him a few cards and top it off with his favorite cake.

My father is deceased but I am getting my husband NFL Sunday Ticket on DirecTV.  I know he would really like to have it but seldom spends anything on himself.  We usually don't buy gifts for each other on birthdays or mother's day/father's day but I am excited to be able to do this for him this year.

I'm taking my dad out to the movies, Chinese food, and plan to lavish gifts and attention on him.

My mom and I got him a card. But knowing him he's just going to want to stay home and relax. I recorded some movies off of a free preview of HBO and Cinemax we got so he'll have something to watch too.

I'm going to lunch wherever my dad wants to go, and then a movie with the family.
