Why would you trust what any politician says?

Why would you trust what any politician says?

For much the same reasons a conspiracy theory should be questioned?

I wouldn't vote for Obama this year. If he is 2nd term, america as we know it will cease to exist. Mitt is almost no different from obama. I know for sure I will be voting against him.

::) Riiiight... Do people like you think if you say this stuff enough, people with brains will actually be worn down enough to believe you? You do realize it didn't work to try to prevent his first term. But hey, keep banging your head against that wall and see if it breaks  :BangHead: . That's useful.

Anyway...

To the OP, you surely are confusing Obama with Bush. Under Bush is when we attacked a country for no apparent reason at all and said that's what they wanted (they didn't), needed (maybe... but they should make the choice), and that they would thank us for it (they didn't). Many of our soldiers died. Then he flew onto an aircraft carrier under a mission accomplished banner when we didn't accomplish a damn thing.

The people of Libya, on the other hand, rose up against their own government and looked to the international community AFTER they took action themselves. Obama's response, though agreed, he didn't go through the proper process, aided without one American life lost. Oh, he also got that Osama guy too. But yeah, same thing  ::)

Why should you vote for Obama?  If you believe in what most mainstream Democrats believe, then you should vote for Obama.  Politicians whose viewpoints are against what the majority of their members believe are not going to be viable candidates (re: Ron Paul).

Obama may not be the perfect president and he may lean a little toward socialism (althogh I do not believe he is a socialist) in his zealousness to share the wealth and restore the middle class, but I feel that replacing him with Mitt  Romney and all that comes along with him, would be one of the worst mistakes America could ever make, and I think it would be very apparent very early on.  This is a man who is motivated totally by profit and monitary gain and has no problem with giving back as little of that profit as possible to his country.  This is the same country we want to put him in charge of? WOW

Yes, I agree, the question is why would you?

National gas price when he took office was $ 1.83 per gallon.  The unemployment rate was 4.9%.

That hope and change is really "moving forward".  The question is to where?

Yea, that's a good reason!

National gas price when he took office was $ 1.83 per gallon.

So, you're implying that a sitting democratic president somehow causes gas prices to rise due to his policies, not due to oil companies and futures speculators jacking-up prices? Further, that an immediately- previous republican president, (with more direct ties to oil companies), had *no* influence on gas prices?

The unemployment rate was 4.9%.

Actually, the U.S. national unemployment rate at the end of 2008, (before Obama took office), was reported as 7.2% under Bush.  Obama inherited the previous economic conditions however, neither he nor Bush can mandate hiring or firing in the private sector.

That hope and change is really "moving forward".  The question is to where?

Historically, such political rhetortic, (from either party), or policies have limited impact on economic conditions.  That is, both republicans and democratics 'write checks with rhetoric that they can't cash by deed'.

It seems to me, that comments here show, that some posters have no real education on any of the candidates and are simply parroting some Fox news/Cnn propaganda, or some ill informed conversation from another quarter. These people should not vote for Obama.....of course they shouldn't vote for anyone else either.
