Only if i really have a tough laundry problem will I use bleach. I will get the water and soap in the washer with the bleach first, let it agitate for a couple seconds and the add the clothes. I don't trust the bleach dispenser. Oh, and I don't use but a little bit.
I do the same. That is the best way to use it in the washer you add degertent and bleach let it agitate for a few seconds and then add your clothes and bam, no messed up clothes  ;D

bleach disrupts enzyme action in septic tanks. Best not to use in toilet if you have septic tank. Use ammonia instead.

Bleach is good to use for laundry and as a disinfectant.  However,  I don't put bleach in certain white clothes.   I buy color bleach for my non white clothes.
