Fun and Educational Attractions
« on: May 05, 2012, 07:05:32 pm »
Today I went to the Military Museum in Largo, Florida. What a neat place!!! You pull in the parking lot and there is a Russian MIG! You can climb up on a wide platform and look inside the cockpit, which is surprisingly small...You could not pilot one if you had a weight problem :o. Outside also was a collection of Military Tanks, Armored personnel carriers and Helicopters from WWII and Vietnam, as well as huge rockets. Inside are displays of all the different uniforms for all the military branches, military equipment,  all the different types of weapons ( bayonets, firearms, land mines, grenades etc) different military displays, videos of actual footage from WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam and Desert storm, and so much more. I got ride a flight simulator of a mission in Desert storm. he movement of the simulator, ade you feel like you were really in a jet...Awesome!!! What educational or fun thing have you been to lately?

And most of the National Parks have fun and Educational events.  For example Grand Canyon you can see by train, helicopter, or boat / raft down the river.
