i just use it when i really need to search for something.  i had the counter stop, filed a ticket and was told if you use it too often and too fast, it stops working.  so now when I need to look something up,  I use the toolbar, if not ..no biggie.  at least i'm not driving myself nuts trying to get it to work.

I've had no problem getting my 5 cents a day.  Some of my searches were invalid, but I just added a few more.  I try to open a few of the links the search found and I don't speed through them.  That seems to work.

I was using the surf toolbar and I really like it, but it was messing up on me so I disable it.  So later I enable it again and it doesn't show up.

So far I've been able to get my 5 cents every day for 20 qualified searches. Today I had a hiccup. After 12 searches for 3 cents, I got the dreaded 'your search is invalid' message and my searches were no longer qualifying and my search count stalled at 12. I decided to reboot to start fresh and give it another go. Success! The count began to rise again and I had my 5 cents in a few minutes. I'm thinking that it might take a few minutes for their tracking system to reset too once you get that 'invalid search' message.

I would suggest being patient with it. Once you get the hang of what is considered a valid search, it's an extra nickel. A daily task can take longer than 20 searches. Seems worth pursuing to me. Helps you get closer to the $15 in offers you need to cash out and it's a daily opportunity to make easy pennies, like the DCE and the PTC offers. That's a buck forty-five in February. I'm grateful the FC staff created this option for us.

I hear/read you! "Maximum Search Rewards Earned", it is working for me today to the max! Works every day for me,  I just don't max out each and ever day.
