Who does your auto insurance? Sometimes places like Allstate will offer multiple policy discounts.

I agree with previous forum member.  Going to your primary insurance carrier makes the most sense if you are trying to save money(most of us are) and your insurance agent will be tremendously happy to sell you a whole life insurance policy because this product rarely makes sense to purchase. I believe it was AL Williams and American Express that showed the benefits of buying a term life insurance policy and investing the difference between the high premium paid for whole life insurance and the relatively small premium paid for a term life policy.  If you are young (babies are a great example) the premiums are very low and the savings account portion of the policy can be useful in later years (to the point that it pays for itself).

Why not term?
The saving you will keep in your pocket can add to a substantial amount over the years.
If you are young, buy term and invest the difference is still a sound principle today.
If you are older, you can triple the amount of insurance you will get for the same dollar amount.
Just my opinion.
