my money went to the government, where it will be put into great use...not. Most of it went to rent, food and car payments. so much for money, eh?

I want my money also, but it mostly goes to paying higher taxes on everything that you eat, wear or live in.  Look at the Postal  Service for instance.  They are laying off more than 13,000 people nationwide, closing postal stations, yet stamps are going up to $.50 each.

My money seems to be going into my gas tank more and more each time I fill up. Damn the Federal Reserve endlessly printing up money leading to the devaluing of our money and driving up prices. Blame the speculators and they do play a part to be sure, but the endless printing up of fiat money is a big culprit in rising prices. It's not that things cost more per se, it's that it takes more dollars to make up for the loss of monetary value.

I highly doubt any politicians truly understand living on a budget, if they did we wouldn't have a 16+Trillion national debt.
