I think the Adbot is cute.  I just might click an ad sometime too if I find it interesting.

Obviously FC is making money on it, or they wouldn't allow it in these posts.  I do agree, however, that discussions should be ad free.  Like most others, I just ignore it.  At least this site doesn't have all the anoying pop-ups that other sites do.

It's asking a lot, you know: we already pay 10c per post in the forum, and you want them to have no ads at all?  We've gotta offset those costs somehow...

Admin is completely right in this! Although, I wouldn't say you pay 10 cents per post (this might give new people the wrong impression that 10 posts is $1 or 50 posts is $5, ect when its 30 or more posts for $3, period no more no less)  but $3 a month for those that post 30+ times a month is gonna add up to ALOT of money! Why not have an ad in the forum that is not a pop up, doesnt move or make noise, and is just there? SO WHAT!! not a big deal, every website has ads, ususaly 100x more annoying then this, which really isnt annoying at all unless you dwell on it.

I notice on each form that someone writes this person puts ads on. I didn't think you could do that.

lol I almost reported him when I first saw him but noticed he seemed to be a permanent fixture so didn't. FC has to do what they need to to keep their revenues coming in. I'm not complaining it keeps us paid.

I did notice the adbot but really did not pay attention to it.

It's the admin's forum .... if he wants to put the adbot on the forum to help with costs ... he can.

I really have not noticed it and probably would not have until I read this post. It doesn't bother me. Just like commercials- I only watch (or read) the ones that interest me.

Thanks for all the information. I thought about reporting the posts initially too, but realized what it was and did not. If it keeps me getting paid to post - I'm all for it.
